Our mission is to create sustainable, nature-centered spaces that inspire healthier living, protect biodiversity, and strengthen the connection between people and the environment. At FUNDACJA OGRODY PRZYSZŁOŚCI, we believe that every green space—no matter how small—has the power to change lives, restore balance, and support a thriving ecosystem. We work to cultivate environments that not only beautify communities, but also improve mental well-being, air quality, and opportunities for environmental education.

A core part of our mission is to educate and empower individuals of all ages to become active caretakers of the natural world. Through workshops, school programs, and community activities, we encourage hands-on learning that builds environmental awareness and responsibility. We are committed to revitalizing neglected or environmentally stressed areas and transforming them into flourishing green spaces. Our mission includes reforestation initiatives, habitat restoration, urban gardening projects, and the creation of public spaces that support biodiversity and natural regeneration. By restoring nature, we bring life back into communities and provide cleaner, healthier environments for future generations.

Driving Innovation in Sustainable Living

FUNDACJA OGRODY PRZYSZŁOŚCI embraces modern eco-technology and innovative ideas that enhance environmental protection. From smart irrigation systems to renewable energy integration and climate-resilient designs, our mission is to shape the “gardens of the future” using intelligent, sustainable solutions. We seek to demonstrate that environmental progress and technological advancement can grow together harmoniously.

What we do

A year later, in 2022, the first Lavender Festival took place in our garden. The festival took place on July 16, 2022. The festival received significant coverage in our local media. On July 16, approximately 1,000 people visited our garden, including guests from not only Katowice but also from across the Silesian Voivodeship. Representatives from the Levanderija lavender plantation in Vilnius, Lithuania were also present. All festival participants actively participated in naturopathic workshops and the first harvest of lavender from Katowice, which each participant then took home and into their work environment. The festival included two thematic competitions (a competition for the best lavender wreath and outfit) and open workshops (yoga on the grass, an oil workshop, an herbal workshop, a beekeeping workshop, a bobbin lace workshop, a relaxation workshop – sound massage, a ukulele workshop – making music on the grass, and three florist workshops – wreath-making). The next edition of the festival will take place in June 2023.

At FUNDACJA OGRODY PRZYSZŁOŚCI, we transform ordinary spaces into living, breathing natural environments that enrich daily life. Our work includes designing public parks, revitalizing abandoned urban zones, and building eco-friendly gardens that support the wellbeing of people and nature. Each space is created with long-term sustainability in mind—using native plants, natural materials, and solutions that help retain water, improve soil health, and support local wildlife.
We believe that access to nature should be available to everyone, and every community deserves green spaces that inspire, calm, and unite.

Environmental Education & Awareness

We are committed to building a society that understands, respects, and protects the environment. Through our educational programs, we introduce children, youth, families, and professionals to the principles of ecological responsibility.
Our activities include hands-on workshops, school lessons, outdoor nature classes, exhibitions, and eco-awareness campaigns. Participants learn about climate change, water conservation, biodiversity protection, waste reduction, composting, and everyday sustainable habits.
By teaching practical skills and inspiring curiosity, we help cultivate future generations of environmentally conscious leaders.

Community Gardening & Local Eco-Initiatives

We support the creation of community gardens where residents can grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers while building strong neighborhood relationships. These gardens provide a space for learning, sharing, and reconnecting with nature.
We guide communities through every step—from planning and planting to seasonal maintenance and harvesting.
Alongside gardens, we organize local environmental initiatives such as neighborhood clean-ups, tree-planting events, urban composting projects, and recycling drives.
These activities not only beautify the surroundings but also strengthen social bonds and promote a sense of shared responsibility for the environment.

Biodiversity Protection & Habitat Restoration

We work to preserve and enhance biodiversity by restoring natural ecosystems and creating habitats where plants, insects, birds, and small animals can thrive.
Our projects include planting native plant species, building pollinator gardens, creating micro-habitats like butterfly zones and bee-friendly corridors, and protecting local water bodies and soils.
By rehabilitating degraded land and promoting rewilding practices, we strengthen ecological resilience and ensure that future generations inherit healthy, balanced environments.
